A broken air conditioning unit has forced Johnston County Court officials to relocate.
Benson District Court is scheduled for this Friday, July 19th. However, a broken AC unit won’t be fixed in time for court to be held this Friday. Chief District Court Judge Jackie Lee has announced all Benson district court cases scheduled for Friday will be heard in Courtroom #1 at the Johnston County Courthouse in Smithfield.
A total of 177 cases are on Friday’s calendar in Benson. All of those cases will now be heard in Smithfield.
