BENSON – Over 250 people attended the 2023 National Night Out Event at Vyas Park in Benson, Tuesday evening.
Benson Police Chief Greg Percy and Town Manager Kim Pickett were among those who spent time in the dunking booth. A Life Flight helicopter landed at the park. Kids enjoyed the big sprinkler, fire hose game, face painting, sand art, and live music.
Chief Percy said the third annual event was a big success. “I was very pleased with how the evening went, and appreciated the opportunity for me and our officers to meet and speak with so many of our residents. The purpose of National Night Out is to help build those relationships, and we enjoyed spending some time with our new friends.”
