The Town of Selma will be resurfacing several streets this summer. The town council, this week, awarded a $204,315 contract to S.T. Wooten Corporation to resurface 8,100 feet of roadway.
Sections of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Preston Street, Primrose Street, Walnut Street, Elizabeth Street, Chestnut Street, and Third Avenue will be resurfaced.
S.T. Wooten was the low bidder for the project. Barnhill Contracting Company bid $223,421 for the project. Town Manager said the resurfacing work will likely take place in the next 120-180 days.
A project to pave a gravel section of Winston Circle will be bid separately.
