Bids For School Renovations Awarded

In their monthly meeting on Tuesday, the Johnston County School Board voted to award bids for mechanical and plumbing renovations at the old North Johnston Middle School in Micro.

The facility is being converted into an elementary school which will open in August 2016 to students.

The work involves designing a new HVAC system and plumbing retrofit fit for the school. The project was approved during the Nov. 2013 bond referendum.
