Board Of Education Waives 5 Schools Days Lost To Hurricane Florence

The Johnston County Board of Education voted Tuesday to waive 5 instructional days lost last month due to Hurricane Florence.

Johnston County Public Schools were closed for students on September 13, 14, 17, 18, and 19.

As a designated federal disaster county, recently passed legislation authorized the school board to waive these missed days for students and staff.

The board voted to waive these school days. There will be no make-up days required for students or staff.
