CLINTON – A body was located inside a residence outside of Clinton, Thursday morning. Around 7:47am, the Sampson County 911 Center received a call reporting a deceased person inside a residence at 112 Leaf Lane.
Deputies discovered a male victim in a bedroom with traumatic injuries consistent with an edged weapon. The residence is in a mobile home community used by seasonal agriculture workers.
The deceased resided at 32 Leaf Lane.
Investigators are working to confirm the identity of the victim.
Sampson County deputies said the case is not believed to be connected to five bodies discovered hours earlier in a home on Garland Highway.
