Walmart Employee Arrested For Secretly Recording Women In Dressing Room

CLAYTON – A former employee at Walmart in Clayton has been arrested after he was allegedly caught videotaping women changing clothes in a dressing room. Dillon Van Soles of Clayton is charged with felony secret peeping.

On September 30, Soles was reportedly working at the Clayton Walmart and was in an adjacent dressing room using his cell phone to record females changing clothes. While one woman was changing clothes and being secretly recorded, her husband observed Soles and confronted him. Soles ran out the back door of the store.

Clayton Police responded and confirmed Soles identity and that he was an employee at Walmart. A warrant was later obtained for his arrest.

On October 17, Clayton Police, assisted by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and NC SBI executed a search warrant at Soles residence, outside the Clayton city limits. Electronic devices were seized from the 24 year-old suspect during a search of his home. Those devices have been sent to the NC SBI for forensic analysis.

Soles was taken into custody on Oct. 17 and given a $5,000 secured bond. The case remains under investigation.

Police suspect Soles may be involved in similar type incidents and encourage anyone who has not reported the crimes to law enforcement to please come forward.
