Due to the rainy weather, the NC Department of Transportation has postponed the closure of Booker Dairy Road this weekend. The DOT says the closure will now take place on March 2nd and 3rd and not this weekend as originally planned.
When the closure takes place, drivers who are accessing Booker Dairy Road will need to enter off Buffalo Road and exit onto Highway 301 North (N. Brightleaf Boulevard). Drivers will not be able to access Booker Dairy off Highway 301 North.
These closures are a part of the ongoing effort to widen Booker Dairy Road from two to four lanes with a divided median. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
