Boys & Girls Clubs Announces “Circle of Champions” Breakfast Fundraiser

SMITHFIELD — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnston County will host a fundraising event aimed at supporting local youth programs and highlighting student success stories.

The first annual Circle of Champions Breakfast is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, at Johnston Community College’s Tart Great Hall. Breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., followed by the program at 8:30 a.m.

Organizers said the event will bring together business and community leaders for a morning focused on youth development and education. Members of the local Boys & Girls Clubs are expected to share personal stories about how the organization has supported their academic growth and helped prepare them for future careers.

Former NFL and NC State quarterback Mike Glennon will serve as a featured speaker. Glennon is expected to discuss leadership, success, and the importance of investing in young people.

Proceeds from the event will benefit programs operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnston County, which provide services focused on academic success, leadership development, workforce readiness, health and wellness, arts, and recreation.

The organization serves more than 3,500 children and teenagers through multiple club locations across Wake and Johnston counties.

Additional information about sponsorship opportunities and attendance is available on the organization’s website.
