The Clayton High Boys Tennis team has been recognized by the Johnston County Board of Education for winning the 3A State Championship.
This is the second year in a row the team has won the title and had an undefeated season. Three members of the team won individual state championships the previous weekend.
Banks Evans, who was named MVP of the Team Championship Match, won the 3A Individual Singles Tennis Championship. Foster Evans, teamed with Sam Jones to win the 3A Individual Doubles Championship.
