An Elementary School Pumpkin Decorating Contest and joint partnership with the Town of Clayton.
Cooper Academy students have Book Character decorated pumpkins on display throughout Main Street in Clayton for viewing and voting.
Jeanne McClure and Mandy Foss from Cooper Academy along with Jennifer Gallimore at the Town of Clayton partnered with the Downtown Development Advisory Board (DDA) to showcase 27 elementary student decorated pumpkins, acorn squash, or gourds. These wonderful creations are viewable throughout downtown so the community has a festive, FREE, and family-friendly opportunity to celebrate the season while supporting our students and safely shopping local. There are so many fantastic book characters to see that really “Bring Stories to Main.” A few book characters include unicorns, Pete the cat, Ninja Turtle and Captain Underpants.
Make sure to get out during the week to visit all the wonderful shops and businesses. Remember to like/vote for your favorite one on the Town of Clayton Facebook Page. Hurry up though, voting ends on November 1st.
