ARCHER LODGE – Mr. Bryan Chadwick has been named the new Town Administrator for Archer Lodge. He received his Oath of Office during the February 6 meeting of the Archer Lodge Town Council.
Mr. Chadwick was born and raised in Carteret County. He received his bachelor’s degree from Campbell University and his Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He started his 22-year career in government as a police officer before moving into management. He has been the town manager of the towns of Indian Beach, North Topsail Beach and, most recently, Newport, NC.
He comes with an extensive background in public safety, planning, financial management and emergency management. He was heavily involved with recovery and repairs of major hurricanes including Matthew, Florence, and Dorian. He is excited to be with Archer Lodge and the opportunities they have for the future.
“The Town is young but has accomplished more in their 14 years of existence than many towns that have been around for 50 years, which provides a unique opportunity. The commitment of the council and staff to the community and citizens is evident by the work being completed now and being planned for the future,” Chadwick said.
He will make an annual salary of $105,000.
