Buffalo Road Accident Causes Power Outage

SELMA — A single-vehicle accident Friday morning caused a power outage and temporary road closure along Buffalo Road.
The crash occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. just north of Live Oak Church Road, when a vehicle struck and knocked down a utility pole. The impact brought power lines across the roadway, blocking traffic in both directions.

The driver sustained minor injuries.
Duke Energy reported that approximately 75 customers in the area lost power following the crash. Utility crews were dispatched to make repairs, with service expected to be restored by 2 p.m. Friday.
Motorists traveling through the area can expect delays on Buffalo Road while crews worked to replace the damaged pole.

And to the crew who “fixed” it, y’all really milked the clock on that one to get all the overtime you could. A big ** to both the driver and crew.
