Burglar Steals Lottery Tickets, Cigarettes From Business

Authorities need your assistance identifying this burglary suspect.  The suspect is wanted for breaking into Brewer’s Grill & Grocery at 11413 Highway 42 East in the Stancil’s Chapel community outside of Kenly early Wednesday.

Surveillance video shows the suspect arrive in a small passenger car at 2:37 AM and park behind a storage building.  At 2:39 AM, the suspect forces his way into the convenience store and attempts to pry open the cash register with a hammer.  After being unsuccessful in opening the register the suspect steals an undetermined amount of lottery tickets and approximately $1,500 worth of cigarettes.  Video shows the suspect exit the store at 2:47 AM with the merchandise and drive away.  The break-in was discovered around 7:40AM by an employee and reported to deputies.

The suspect was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the words “YONSEI” which is the name of prestigious private university in South Korea.
