A burglar who stole items from the Archer Lodge Community Center took time to eat a container of ice cream inside the facility before fleeing with a large amount of property.
The break-in was discovered Tuesday at the community center concession stand on Buffalo Road in Archer Lodge. Authorities believe the door may have been accidentally left unlocked.
Johnston County deputies said the thief left behind the empty container of ice cream and a spoon.
The suspect took 120 cans of soft drinks, 3 cooking pots, a crock pot, coffee pot, cooler, box of plastic spoons and a box of trash bags valued at $575.
Deputies believe the theft occurred between July 13th and July 18th.
