Thieves broke into four new homes under construction and caused extensive damage to one of the properties. The homes are all located in the Star Valley subdivision off Highway 210 near Sweetbriar Road.
At one home, vandals cut a water line causing the interior to flood and damage hardwood floors, carpet and tile. Repair estimates were placed around $17,000.
At three other houses, a garage door, three entry doors, and four light fixtures were stolen. The stolen property was valued at $2,800.
All four homes are owned by Gray Wolf Homes of Clayton.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
