Buies Creek – Campbell University baseball team members and staff will take off Monday for a five day, two game trip to Puerto Rico.
Made possible through private funding, the tour begins on Monday, May 23 and stretches through Friday, May 27, when the team returns home. Along the way, sightseeing and team bonding activities are built into the daily itinerary.
The Camels will fly into San Juan, experiencing historic Old San Juan before practice on Monday.
Tuesday brings visits to historic forts Castillo de San Cristobal and Castillo de San Felipe del Morro before the team’s first game of the trip.
Wednesday’s itinerary includes a guided eco-tour with a beautiful hike through the native tropical forests and mountains as well as spectacular limestone river caves and canyons.
The Camels will enjoy San Juan’s most famous beach, Condado Beach, on Thursday before playing their second and final game of the tour. The team will depart Friday afternoon.
