Car Goes Off Road To Avoid Pursuing Officers
A Johnston County man was arrested after leading deputies on a brief high speed pursuit. It began around 1:30am Saturday, June 10 when a deputy sheriff, on routine patrol, attempted to stop a grey sedan on Highway 50 near Highway 42 for a head light violation.
Authorities also knew the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The suspect reportedly refused to stop, reaching speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour. While traveling on Old Drug Store Road the driver turned off his headlights.
A short time later, authorities said the fleeing driver intentionally left the roadway, traveled through several residential yards, then collided with a concrete patio at a home, severely damaging the vehicle.
The suspect jumped and ran into a wooded area. He was captured a short time later.
Bobby Wayne Faircloth, age 28, of Glen Echo Road, Garner was charged with fleeing to elude arrest, resisting a public officer, reckless driving, speeding, failure to burn headlamps, driving on a revoked license, possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Faircloth was served with a failure to appear warrant on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana up to 1/2 ounce.
He was held under a $31,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.
No injuries were reported during the brief pursuit.

Bobby Wayne Faircloth, you are so lucky you did not get killed but if you did all I could say is, OH WELL! I just thank God you did not hurt or kill a LEO or pedestrian. Doing those speeds down Drug Store Road tells me that you are a Complete MORON! Rot in jail.
Omg are you serious the bond is so low for all those charges. He put other people life in danger and he had 9 charges and a failure to appear… Like are they serious 🧐
We don’t have punishment in this country today. We have plenty of laws but no actual punishment. Until we start to make the commission of crime a very dangerous proposition, people have no reason to fear committing crime.
