PINE LEVEL – One person was injured after a car slammed into a home. The accident was reported just after 8:00am Friday at the intersection of Crescent Street and Davis Mill Road.
Pine Level Police Chief A.Q. Woodard said a vehicle was traveling on Crescent Street and failed to stop for a stop sign. The car traveled through the t-intersection striking the side of a brick home. There was no evidence the driver tried to stop and there were no skid marks.
The driver was found on the ground outside the vehicle complaining of neck and back pain. The driver was transported to WakeMed for treatment.
Chief Woodard said the cause of the accident remains under investigation, including whether a medical issue may have played a factor.
No one inside the home was injured.
