Two vehicles going straight, how? Way to many accidents in Wilson Mills on Hwy 70. I sure don’t understand. Glad everyone is going to be ok.
Excessive speed and construction. You can’t keep control of your vehicle at 70+ mph when the pavement isn’t even, then add in the slight shifts and curves of that area. I have also experienced other vehicles getting offended when you pass so they’ll change lanes abruptly and hit their brakes to “control” traffic.
I don’t have any trouble with the pavement, all I have to do is pay attention and drive appropriately.
But as you say, the passive-aggressive road blocking is rampant, causes road rage and something should be done. I don’t have accidents. Mind your driving, not mine.
I can’t understand why there is absolutely no law enforcement presence on that stretch of highway during morning and evening rush hours. The HP used to be more aggressive in stopping the aggressive drivers. I’m not sure what changed in 10 years but I have witnessed HP ignoring drivers who are impeding and driving aggressively. Not trying to bash our law enforcement but a presence would change people’s behavior.
I was a driver who stopped to assist until the police and EMS arrived. The black SUV was stationary and the white truck crashed into it and rolled it over and flipped the vehicles around.
