Caught On Camera: Arrest Made In Auto Dealership Burglary

SMITHFIELD ā€“ Smithfield Police have solved a break-in at a used car dealership.

On May 14, a break-in was reported at Lavish Auto Sales at 605 S. Brightleaf Boulevard. Security cameras reportedly captured the suspect enter through a rear door. Once inside, $300 in cash was stolen.

Police said the suspect on the security video was a former employee at Lavish Auto.

Luis Aleberto Aviles-Rivera, 30, of unknown address, Smithfield was located on May 17 and served with outstanding warrants charging him with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny.

Aviles-Rivera was held under a $52,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.
