Celebrate The Holiday Season In Downtown Smithfield

SMITHFIELD – Downtown Smithfield is ready to sparkle this holiday season with a series of festive events, starting Friday, November 28, and continuing through December 21. From the beloved tree lighting to new seasonal experiences, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

The celebrations kick off Friday, November 28, from 3 PM to 8 PM, with the Smithfield Town Tree Lighting at 7 PM and the Holiday Market running throughout the afternoon and evening. Shop small and local at the market while enjoying festive entertainment and the first glimpse of downtown’s twinkling lights.

Saturday, November 29, families can enjoy Breakfast with Santa at two local favorites: The Diner from 9 AM – 10 AM and The Gilded Pear from 10 AM – 11 AM.

Thursday, December 11 at 7 PM, gather along the parade route for the Smithfield Christmas Parade, a downtown tradition that brings the community together.

Other exciting events include:

• Hot Cocoa Crawl & Pictures with Santa – Friday, December 12, 5 PM – 8 PM
• Jingle Bell Jubilee & Carriage Rides – Sunday, December 14, 3 PM – 8 PM
• Little Elves Workshop & Pictures with Santa – Sunday, December 21, 3 PM – 5 PM

Santa’s Hut will be open on select dates for photos with Santa, and carriage rides through downtown will provide a magical way to experience the holiday lights.

Downtown Smithfield is also introducing new festive activities this year, including the Jingle Bell Jubilee and the Hot Cocoa Crawl, to complement cherished family traditions.
