SMITHFIELD – A Smithfield man indicted by a Johnston County Grand Jury on 19 criminal charges is in the Johnston County Jail under a $1 million bond.
Christopher Pete Eiklor, age 49, was named in a 19 count indictment on July 18. He was arrested July 20 by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
On April 8, 2022, sheriff’s investigators said they launched an investigation after the victim reported she had allegedly been sexually assaulted over a six year period by the suspect, beginning when she was age 11.
Eiklor was indicted on five counts of statutory rape, five counts of statutory sex offense, five counts of indecent liberties with a minor, one count of sex offense / rape in a parental role, one count of incest, one count of sexual servitude with a minor, and one count of second-degree rape.
A trial date has not been scheduled.
$1M bond here, yet Braswell remains free on a $35K bond. Still think there’s a single justice system in JoCo?
Thats is the difference between having physical evidence of contact and having just a sworn statement in the form of an affidavit.
@terrybarns: The grand jury returned an indictment. That means that the DA believes there is evidence to support a conviction. There is much more than a single sworn statement.
Doesn’t need a trial date! …. nor a bond! …. Let the parents have 5 minutes alone with him!
Put his a** under the jail
Where do we deport him too?
A local cemetery
Lol. Good one
The family trauma is not over. Future trial will take a toll on the victim and family.
Death penalty should suffice
