Authorities have ruled a fire that destroyed a storage building behind a home in the Willow Spring community in western Johnston County as arson.
The fire was reported Nov. 22nd behind a house on Riders Ridge Lane in the Riders Ridge Subdivision off Honeycutt Road.
Two witnesses reporting seeing three juveniles run from the area of the storage building moments before it was engulfed in flames. Fire crews arrived and extinguished the blaze.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate the juveniles for questioning about the suspicious fire. No injuries were reported.
