Chipotle Opens Flowers Plantation Location In Clayton

CLAYTON — Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its Flowers Plantation location Wednesday, bringing the national fast-casual chain to one of Johnston County’s fastest-growing communities.

The new restaurant, located at 29 District Way in Clayton, features the company’s signature “Chipotlane,” a drive-thru pickup lane that allows customers to collect digital orders without leaving their cars. The restaurant will be open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

To celebrate the opening, the Flowers Plantation location is offering guests a chance to try two new limited-time menu items — Carne Asada and Red Chimichurri sauce. The restaurant is also introducing its “Build-Your-Own Chipotle” meal option, a customizable order designed to feed four to six people. Customers can receive $10 off their first Build-Your-Own order with the code TRYBYOC through the end of the year.

Chipotle is also promoting its new Chipotle U Rewards program for college students. Enrollees will earn 1,000 bonus points upon signing up and receive 20% more points on every purchase, which can be redeemed for free menu items.

The company is hiring at the Flowers Plantation location. Each Chipotle restaurant employs about 30 workers, with competitive pay and benefits, according to the company.

  1. You can buy expensive but trendy imitation Hispanic food here, or you can go to Don Betos Tacos at 70 and main street in Clayton and get the real thing for half the price.
