A Smithfield man was ordered to remove his clothing during an armed robbery at his home Sunday night. It happened on Thain Place just off Cleveland Road.
Around 6:40pm, the victim said two men went to his residence and at gunpoint ordered him to remove his clothing and hand over his wallet. The suspects took his jacket, shirt, and socks along with a cell phone and his wallet containing cash before fleeing. The victim told deputies some of the items that were taken were given to his as gifts at Christmas
The victim was not injured during the robbery.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
