Devin Carter, a senior football and basketball player at Clayton High, was recognized this month by the Johnston County Board of Education for his participation in the 2017 Shrine Bowl in Spartanburg, SC.
Carter caught a touchdown pass for the North Carolina team in the game.
Devin played wide receiver for the conference champion Comet football team last season. He plans to play football at North Carolina State University in the fall.
