Clayton Man Linked To Multiple Armed Robberies
CLAYTON – Clayton Police have linked a 35 year-old man to two armed robberies in late last year.
Police Chief Greg Tart said Seth James Richardson, 35, of Redbud Drive, Clayton is charged with robbing Walgreens pharmacy on Clayton Boulevard on November 26, 2024 around 1:00am. Richardson is also charged with robbing Wells Fargo bank on Executive Drive on December 13, 2024.
Richardson was arrested May 22 by Rocky Mount Police after he attempted to rob a Wells Fargo bank. Richardson fled on a motorcycle and a chase ensued with police. Richardson wrecked his motorcycle and was taken into custody. He remains hospitalized.
Clayton Police executed a search warrant Thursday night at Richardson’s residence in Johnston County and located several firearms and disguises that Richardson has used in previous armed robberies, Chief Tart said.
Richardson is also being charged by Raleigh Police and Rocky Mount Police with additional robberies.

Too bad that when Seth Richardson wrecked his motorcycle He did not expire. Glad he was caught though and is off the streets and will remain off the streets for the rest of his life. He has no idea how he could have emotionally destroyed the employees of the business he robed.

Surprised he got away with robbing a Walgreens pharmacy and a bank. And he lives in the same town. These people can’t quit once they start it seems. He was always going to be caught if he kept going. Takes a lot of balls to do what he did. I would guess he has an addiction to drugs. To leave evidence to past crimes at his crib was obviously dumb. Enjoy your iron vacation. You sure earned it.
