The Clayton Town Council on Monday night unanimously approved a resolution in support of the NC DOT / NC Turnpike Authority in their application for a federal Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (IFRA) grant to help accelerate the completion of I-540.
The grant amount is determined after acceptance.
In a letter of support to the US Department of Transportation, Clayton Town Manager Adam Lindsay said, “The completion of the outer loops will have great impact on jobs and congestion relief in the Clayton area. We support the NC Turnpike Authority and efforts to accelerate the completion of 540.”
