HARNETT COUNTY – A convenience store clerk was killed during an armed robbery. It happened at 11:16pm Saturday at the Value Mart at 5231 NC 87 North, Sanford, in Harnett County.
When deputies arrived, they located the clerk deceased inside the business. He was identified as 50 year-old Alfredo Escalona Mares.
A customer inside the business was assaulted by the suspect. They were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect, a black male with his face covered, entered the business with a weapon and demanded money. During the robbery, Mr. Mares was shot and killed.
The suspect was last seen running out the front door of the Value Mart.

Sad. No need for murder. The guy was at work, earning income, just trying to make it out here and he is murdered for nothing. Sad. To the shooter, may God’s wrath and justice find you. Amen.

The New Covenant (Testament) is not a memo actually. It is a collection of books. You should read Ephesians 4:29. I pray you learn to show more kindness to your neighbor. We are not supposed to tear people down who are merely showing empathy or sympathy to someone.
