A search is underway for two men who robbed a Clayton-area convenience store. The robbery was reported at 11:54pm Wednesday at Fiddlestix, on Highway 42 about four miles west of Clayton.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.
Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell said two black male suspects entered the business. One of the men produced a knife and demanded money from the clerk. An undisclosed amount of money was taken along with 60 packs of Newport cigarettes.
