Couple Unhurt, Pizza Lost In US 70 Crash
SELMA, N.C. – A Wilson’s Mills couple escaped injury Saturday afternoon after their car slid off US 70 and struck two trees just west of Buffalo Road.
The single-vehicle crash was reported around 1:15 p.m.
The couple said they were driving home with pizza for their children when the car began sliding during heavy rainfall.
The vehicle sustained extensive damage. Neither occupant was injured.
Selma Fire and Johnston County EMS responded to the scene. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
Both occupants walked away unharmed, though dinner apparently didn’t make it home.
