FOUR OAKS – Crews from three fire departments responded to a house fire Friday afternoon outside of Four Oaks. A passing motorist saw smoke coming from a home at 254 Juniper Road and dialed 911.
Firefighters from Blackman’s Crossroads, Four Oaks, and Strickland’s Crossroads responded. They made entry into the home and found flames in a front bedroom.
The fire was quickly extinguished but the home sustained heavy smoke damage.
No one was at residence at the time of the incident. The cause remains under investigation by the Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office.
