Authorities are investigating the shooting of two dogs in Johnston County. One of the animals was killed, the other is expected to survive.
The owner of the dogs discovered Wednesday morning a two year-old mixed boxer-bulldog had been shot to death on his property on Old Fairground Road off Highway 210. He discovered a second dog had been shot but was not seriously wounded.
There are no suspects in the case, but the incident has been assigned to a detective with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
