The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance identifying a man wanted for a larceny at a Benson area business.
On April 16th, deputies said the man walked into McLamb’s LP Gas & Supply at 3469 Highway 242 South. He waited until everyone had left from the isle where Dewalt tools were on display.
Cameras caught the man remove a Dewalt oscillating tool and place it inside his pants. The suspect then picked up a soft drink and paid for the drink at the counter. He did not pay for the $235 power tool. He left in what appears to be a burgundy Ford Focus.
