Deputies Respond To Shooting

BENSON – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting. The incident was reported Friday afternoon in the 700 block of Woodall Dairy Road near the intersection of Gilbert Road outside of Benson.

The victim was rushed by Johnston County EMS to WakeMed in Raleigh. Their condition has not been released.

Several deputies and detectives responded to the scene and cordoned off the area with crime scene tape.  Authorities are still investigating the incident.
