A Johnston County man is expected to recover after being doused with bleach during a domestic altercation. Deputies said they responded to a disturbance between a man and a woman on Lainey Street in the Cleveland community around 9:15 PM Friday. Officers left the scene only to return 30 minutes later after the female allegedly poured bleach on the male.
Adrian Nichole Smith, 30, of Lainey Street, Garner was charged with throwing acid or alkali, a felony. The 26 year-old victim was transported to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Sheriff’s deputies said several children were present at the home but they were not harmed.
