Deputy Sheriff Injured In Early Morning Wreck

SELMA – The State Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle crash this morning (Monday) involving a Johnston County sheriff’s deputy.

The collision was reported at 5:35am on Phillips Road off Highway 39 north of Selma.

For an unknown reason, the deputy ran off the roadway in a marked patrol car and struck a driveway culvert. The car went airborne before crashing into a ditch. The officer was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

  1. I hope the Deputy will be ok. I love and respect the JCSO but they are having a bad go of there driving lately.

  2. “For an unknown reason, the deputy ran off the roadway…”

I’d love to see the the text message history on the deputy’s phone at the time of the accident.
