Do You Recognize This Vehicle? Police Seek Suspect In Church Theft
WILSON’S MILLS — Wilson’s Mills Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a vehicle caught on camera during a theft at a local church early Sunday morning.
Surveillance footage from Wilson’s Mills Baptist Church shows what police said appears to be a gold sedan—possibly a Toyota, Lexus, or Hyundai—entering the church property around 2:19 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26. The car drove along the tree line behind the building and parked near a fenced play area.
Moments later, an unknown male, believed to be white or Hispanic, is seen getting out of the vehicle and walking toward two church buses. Over the next hour, the man reportedly removed three catalytic converters from the two buses, tossing them across the parking lot toward his car before loading them up and leaving at 3:14 a.m.
Police say the theft was reported Monday, Oct. 27, after church staff discovered the theft. The stolen parts could cost the church thousands of dollars to replace.

The worst part about this is the Police Dept. didn’t do one area check at this church for well over an hour. The saw I’m pretty sure he used is loud and no one in the area heard it? I have seen Police in the parking lot all the time looking for speeders, now let’s focus on something more pressing now guys.. I do stand behind LEO’s most of the time, but this is unacceptable. The crime rate and call volume in Wilson’s Mills isn’t that high so that can’t be an excuse for not finding these two meth heads cutting on the bus… #dobetter

It would be a full time job to drive around each one.
Well if you know anything about jurisdiction you would know that Wilsons Mills Police don’t have that many churches in THEIR jurisdiction. Again, I am pro police but they aren’t doing their jobs if they aren’t checking the churches and closed businesses. I also realize that you can’t be everywhere at once but it’s not that big of a town. You should be riding through the areas at least once an hour period…
