A Wake County teenager was arrested at a license checkpoint being conducted by Johnston County SAFE Team deputies.
Officers had set up the checking station on Government Road at Jack Road near Clayton on Thursday night.
A vehicle approached the checkpoint and officers immediately noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the car when the driver rolled down the window. During a search of the vehicle, cocaine, marijuana, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia were reportedly found.
Courtney Richardson, 19, of Holly Springs was charged with two felony and two misdemeanor drug violations. Richardson was transported to the Johnston County Jail where a magistrate set his bail at $30,000.
