Driver Charged After Car Slams Into Guardrail

SELMA — No serious injuries were reported Wednesday night after a car struck the end cap of a guardrail on Thanksgiving Fire Road near N.C. 96.

The single-vehicle crash was reported about 9:45 p.m. The impact tore away part of the car’s front right side.

The driver and four passengers, including a small child, were evaluated at the scene by Johnston County EMS. No one was taken to a hospital.

The N.C. State Highway Patrol investigated the crash. The driver is facing charges.
