Driver Seriously Injured In Two Vehicle Collision

JOHNSTON COUNTY – Two people were injured, one seriously, after a Carvana truck and blue passenger car collided.

The collision occurred around 4:00 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Little Creek Church Road and Rock Pillar Road, between Smithfield and Clayton.

The driver of the blue passenger car was rushed to WakeMed with serious injuries.

The driver of the Carvana truck sustained minor injuries. He declined EMS transport to the hospital but was driven to the emergency room by a family member.

The State Highway Patrol investigated the accident and cited the truck driver.

The intersection fully reopened to traffic around 5:40 p.m.

    That’s a tricky 4 way IF you’re not paying attention! Good thing nobody was expecting a car to be delivered off that truck.

  2. The blue car must of been flying if a 4-way. 45 mph doesn’t cause that kind of damage.

  3. I can’t see that extensive damage unless someone was speeding and failing to stop at a 4- way stop. Looks like the truck thought it might have had the right of way, and the blue car apparently not paying attention at anything really, failed to stop and plowed into the truck. But Hey, I’m not the trained NCSHP!

  4. To all of the internet warriors, that is not a 4-way stop. The truck blew the stop sign. Get some facts before mouthing off with your ignorance.
