JOHNSTON COUNTY – A Johnston County man is facing more than a dozen charges after he reportedly tried to flee from Johnston County deputies.

Alan Arellano Jaramillo, age 32, of the 9700 block of NC Highway 39, Middlesex was arrested after the pursuit around 2:27 a.m. Sunday, June 29.
A sheriff’s deputy was just completing a traffic stop on Highway 39 and reportedly saw the driver of a black BMW fail to stop at a stop sign.
The officer got behind the BMW but the driver refused to pull over. The chase continued onto several rural roads before Jaramillo reportedly struck a mailbox and ran into a ditch disabling his car on Friendship Church Road near Wilder Road.
Jaramillo was arrested at the scene and held under a $36,500 bond. He faces numerous charges including fleeing to elude arrest, no operator’s license, speeding, reckless driving to endanger, two counts of injury to property, two counts of failure to stop at a stop sign, expired registration, fictitious/altered tag, expired/no inspection, simple possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Illegal, perhaps?
Correct.
1. no operator’s license
2. fictitious/altered tag
3. expired/no inspection
4. driving with intoxicating substances
Just another reason our car insurance rates are going up again this fall. We are paying dearly for people who don’t have car insurance. And then they run from the law and cause even more damage.
