Drug Investigation Leads To Six Arrests In Four Oaks

FOUR OAKS, N.C. – Six people have been arrested following a Johnston County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigation at a home in the Four Oaks city limits.

The investigation began after authorities received a drug complaint involving a residence in the 200 block of George Street.

On Sept. 16, narcotics agents arrested Donald Stephen Cummings, 43, of the address, on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Based on evidence gathered during that arrest and the continuing investigation, officers returned to the home Sept. 17 with a narcotics search warrant.

During the search, investigators reportedly seized approximately 196 grams of suspected liquid methamphetamine along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division was assisted by the Four Oaks Police Department.

Authorities also contacted Johnston County Building Inspections because of conditions inside the residence.

Johnston County Animal Services responded and took custody of two dogs from the home.

Five additional people were arrested following the search.

Antonio Dewayne Giles, 42; Quin Marton Chestnut, 33; Marcus Desean Worrells, 22; Savannah Faye Lowe, 20; and Shana Ann Worrells, 39, all of George Street in Four Oaks, were charged with felony methamphetamine trafficking and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Giles was held without bond pending his first court appearance.

Chestnut, Marcus Worrells, Lowe and Shana Worrells were each given $50,000 bonds.

Cummings was released on a $1,000 bond.

The investigation remains ongoing.
