DSDC Welcomes New Events And Marketing Coordinator

SMITHFIELD – The Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation (DSDC) has announced that Helen Caloz has joined the organization as its new Events and Marketing Coordinator.

Helen brings with her several years of experience in theater management, marketing, and event planning, along with a strong background in community engagement and creative programming. She currently serves as an Ambassador for the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce, where she has built valuable relationships throughout the regional business community.

A North Carolina native, Helen grew up in Fuquay, and her local roots give her a deep appreciation for the importance of strong downtowns and vibrant communities. Her passion for bringing people together through events and storytelling aligns perfectly with DSDC’s mission to support small businesses, promote economic development, and create meaningful experiences in Downtown Smithfield.
