Eagle Scout Colin Edward Davidson (center) from Boy Scout Troop #33 of Clayton received the Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Award from the Johnston County Marine Corps League Assistant Eagle Scout Coordinator and Boy Scout Troop #33 Assistant Scoutmaster Devell “Bull” Durham Jr. (left) and Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment Eagle Scout Coordinator Lewis W. Rice III (right).
The award presentation took place during a special Troop #33 Court of Honor held on Monday at Oakland Presbyterian Church on Cleveland Road near Clayton.
Colin is the son of Kirk and Karen Davidson of Smithfield.
He is heavily involved in Scouting and holds many leadership positions including the Order of the Arrow Representative for his Troop, the Chapter Chief of the Order of the Arrow for the Council, and the Order of the Arrow Summer Camp Staff.
The Order of the Arrow is the Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America.
Colin is a rising senior at Neuse Charter High School. After graduation he plans to enlist in the United States Navy to become a Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Corpsman.
An FMF Corpsman serves directly in the Fleet alongside the Marines providing health care to Sailors, Marines, and those entrusted to their care on the battlefield, at sea, under the sea, and in military treatment facilities worldwide.
