Joshua Thompson (center) an Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop 33 of Clayton received the Good Citizenship Award on Sunday.
The award was presented by Eagle Scout Coordinator Lewis W. Rice III (left) and Jr. Past Commandant Devell “Bull” Durham Jr. (right) of the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment 1236.
Joshua, the son of David and Tessa Thompson of Garner is a recent graduate of Cleveland High School where he was a member of the Marching Band Drumline and a member of the National Honor Society. Joshua is now attending East Carolina University as a Freshman working towards an Engineering Degree.
