Two adults and one child were able to escape from their burning mobile home near Smithfield early Saturday morning.
Around 12:30am, flames broke out at a singlewide mobile home in the 1500 block of Yelverton Grove Road just east of I-95 in Smithfield.
The Smithfield, Brogden and Pine Level Fire Departments responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office.
Johnston County EMS stood by at the scene.
The Red Cross is assisting the family. No injuries were reported.
