Early Morning Wreck Undiscovered For Hours

CLAYTON –  The State Highway Patrol investigated a single car accident on Saturday morning which left one victim with serious injuries.  A female driver lost control while driving south on Barber Mill Road near Clayton then crashed into a ditch and was ejected when the car tumbled end-over-end on its way into the woodline.

The victim was found lying in the woods, injured and alone where she had been for up to 3 hours before finally being found when the sun came up.

The woman was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment. Charges are pending.
