Egg-citing Adventure Awaits At Clayton’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt

CLAYTON – Get ready to hop, skip, and jump into the spirit of spring as thousands of colorful eggs wait to be discovered. Join Clayton Parks and Recreation for annual Town of Clayton Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Saturday, April 19 at Clayton High School, located at 600 South Fayetteville Street.

Come early and let the kids burn off some energy before the big hunt. Festivities start at 10 a.m. with music, games, and bounce houses. The Easter Bunny is also expected to make a special appearance, so have cameras in hand and get ready for a cute photo op.

Then at 11 a.m., it’s go time! More than 12,000 eggs are scattered on the football field and divided into three age groups: two and under, three to four-year-olds, and five to six-year-olds. While everyone is welcome to join the fun, the event is designed with little egg hunters in mind.

Don’t be late because these eggs disappear fast. In past years, they have been scooped up in under seven minutes. Be sure to grab a basket, bring some egg-hunting energy, and get ready for a morning full of fun and surprises.
